چکیده

Objective: A study was conducted to determine the effect of phytase inclusion in broiler breeder diets on fecal and egg characteristics of individually caged females. Materials and Methods: A total of 184 female broiler breeders were fed growing and laying diets containing 0.7% or 2.7% calcium (Ca) and 0.35% or 0.12% available phosphorus (AvP), respectively, with one of four graded levels of phytase 0 (Control), 300, 600 and 1200 FTU kgG1 with 46 replicate cages/treatment at photostimulation. Results: Feeding 1200 FTU kgG1 of phytase produced greater fecal liquid portion at 31 week (p<0.001) and 38 week (p<0.01) while fecal phosphorus (P) was increased (p<0.01) at 38 week in birds that had consumed either 600 or 1200 FTU kgG1 of phytase. There was no significant effect of phytase on egg characteristics or egg production. Conclusion: When formulating broiler breeder diets with phytase, attention should be made to the quantity of enzyme used to avoid increased liquid feces.

Effect of dietary zinc oxide and phytase on the plasma metabolites and enzyme activities in aged broiler breeder hens

Background: It has been shown that zinc has an effect on physiological responses in animals and birds. On the other hand, dietary phytase in poultry results in increased availability of zinc. OBJECTIVES: This study was conducted to investigate the effects of zinc oxide (ZnO) and Escherichia coli-derived 6-phytase supplemented diets on the plasma metabolites and enzyme activities of broiler bree...

Response of Broiler Chickens to Triticale-Based Diets Supplemented with Microbial Enzymes (1. Growth and Intestinal Function)

A total of 384 day-old male Ross 308 broiler chicks were allocated to 8 dietary treatments to examine the influence of supplementation with xylanase and phytase, individually or in combination, in diets based on two new cultivars of triticale (Bogong and Canobolas). The inclusion of phytase alone in either Bogong or Canobolas diets increased (P < 0.01) feed intake and body weight; however, the ...

Response of laying hens to diet inclusion of canola meal as influenced by dietary nonphytate phosphorus level and microbial phytase supplementation

An experiment employing a factorial arrangement of three levels (0, 8 and 16%) of canola meal (CM), two levels (0.15 and 0.25%) of nonphytate phosphorus (NPP), and two levels (0 and 450 unit/kg; as fed basis) of microbial phytase was conducted using 216 Hy-Line W36 laying hens from 39 to 47 weeks of age. The birds receiving CM consumed more (P < 0.05) feed than birds receiving corn-soybean meal...

Effect of Aflatoxicosis on Hatching Egg Quality Parameters of Broiler Breeders

A study was conducted to investigate the effect of feeding diets containing different levels of aflatoxin B1 (AF) viz., 0, 300, 400 and 500ppb on the hatching egg quality of broiler breeders. The breeder hens aged 28 weeks were fed with four treatment diets: Control (0ppm), (300 ppb), (400 ppb) and (500 ppb) for three periods, each with a duration of three weeks from 28 to 36 weeks of age.
